Career Experience
I spent more than a decade working as a paramedic and firefighter before transitioning into nursing in emergency medicine. I worked in a 50-bed ER specializing in stroke and cardiac care, later managed a 20-bed urgent care, and then moved into education, where I trained staff, served as an educator, and built a nurse residency program for new graduates. I later mentored master’s students in nursing education as they completed their degrees. Alongside my healthcare career, I’m also a published author, which reflects my long-standing love of language, communication, and helping others develop confidence in their own voice.
I Love Tutoring Because
I enjoy helping people get past the moment where something feels confusing or overwhelming and watching it start to click. Teaching has been a thread through every stage of my career, whether I was training new nurses, mentoring graduate students, or helping people build confidence in high-pressure situations. I like meeting students where they are, breaking complex ideas into something manageable, and giving them the tools to think clearly and succeed on their own.
