01. Overview

What the school is known for:

Bethune-Cookman University is a premier research institution focused on providing a modern education through classic scholarship and the latest technology. The school offers bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Education, Criminal Justice, and Psychology, but there are a total of 45 degree programs (including a BS in Nursing) across the school’s colleges. The Rufus L. and Janice M. Wilson College of Liberal Arts is known for its programs in education, music, and social justice. The College of Business & Entrepreneurship ensures students have the business knowledge and professional skills to be attractive to employers. And within the College of Science, Engineering, and Mathematics, students will find programs that focus on aging and rehabilitative sciences, as well as public health and health equity.

B-CU graduates are a diverse community of productive citizens and solution seekers with a national and global presence. Moreover, the school’s commitment to research is readily apparent in its eight-week intensive mathematical modeling program wherein undergraduates across all disciplines can apply to conduct original research and data analytics in multiple scientific disciplines. Students in this program are encouraged and supported to continue their work throughout the year, submit their research papers to professional journals, and present their work at conferences.
