Directions to The College of Saint Rose The College of Saint Rose is located between Western and Madison avenues in Albany. Directions provided are to the LaSalle Lot (P-6) and the School of Education Lot (P-7). The Office of Undergraduate Admissions Scanlan Hall, is located at 1001 Madison Avenue. From the North Take I-87 south to the end, Western Avenue/Route 20, before it turns into the NYS Thruway. SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW "FROM Western AVENUE." From the South Take the New York State Thruway (I-87) to exit 24. After the tollbooth take exit 1-S (Western Avenue/Route 20). SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW "FROM Western AVENUE." From the East Take the Massachusetts Turnpike (I-90) to the New York State Thruway, get off at exit B-1 (I-90 west). Proceed on I-90 to exit 5 (Everett Road). At the end of the exit ramp, turn left onto Everett Road. At the third light, turn left onto Route 5 (Central Avenue). On Central Avenue, continue through four lights and then turn right onto North Main Avenue. Proceed on North Main for three traffic lights, then turn left onto Western Ave. At the very next traffic light, located in front of 432 Western Avenue, you can either turn right for P-7 or left for P-6. From the West Take the New York State Thruway (I-90) to exit 24 After the tollbooth take exit 1-S (Western Ave./Route 20). SEE DIRECTIONS BELOW "FROM Western AVENUE.". From Western Avenue Take the exit for Western Ave./Route 20. Take a left at the light (Route 20 east) and follow for approximately 2.7 miles to the corner of South Allen St. There will be a sign that says to get in the right lane for Saint Rose, however, get in the left lane and bear left at the light down Western Ave. (which is no longer Rt. 20) instead and follow for another .3 mile (two traffic lights). Parking is available at either lot, left (P-6) or right (P-7) at the light, at 432 Western Ave. Air Travel The Albany International Airport serves the Capital Region with daily flights on major and commuter airlines. The airport is seven miles from Saint Rose and taxi service is available. Traveling by Train The Capital Region is served by the Amtrak train station in Rensselaer, six miles from the Saint Rose campus. Trains to all major U.S. cities depart from the Rensselaer station and taxi service is available.
