She held the position of Chairman from 2007 to 2013, and previously from 1998 to 2005. She was Co-Chairman of the Board from 1997 to 1998 and was elected President in 1992 and Chief Executive Officer in 1993. Ms.Jacobs has been a director of the Company since January 1999. She is a member of the Compensation Committee and the Governance Committee. Ms. Jacobs was the first female chairman/CEO to lead a transfer from Nasdaq to the NYSE and ring the bell on the company's first day of trading.
An American chef, cookbook writer, and the television host of Ciao Italia with Mary Ann Esposito, which started in 1989 and is the longest-running television cooking program in America. Esposito has published over a dozen cookbooks. On June 2, 2013, a knighthood was bestowed upon her by the President of the Italian Republic under the title Cavaliere dell'Ordine della Stella d'Italia (Knight of the Order of the Star of Italy). She was one of 160 people worldwide to receive this honor in 2013, and the only American.
