TYPES OF TRANSPORTATION AVAILABLE TO CAMPUS

Bus, taxi, car rental, airport shuttle. Closest airport is Rapid City Regional Airport, about 20 minutes away, serviced by Allegiant Air, United Airlines, Delta Airlines, and American Airlines.


DRIVING INSTRUCTIONS TO CAMPUS

By Car: *From the East - Go west on I-90 to Exit 57. Proceed south on West Boulevard I-190 and turn left onto St. Joseph Street (one way). Continue through downtown and turn right onto campus after the main parking area. *From the West - Go east on I-90 to Exit 57. Proceed south on West Boulevard I-190 and turn left onto St. Joseph Street (one way). Continue through downtown and turn right onto campus after the main parking area. *Highway 16 (from the South) - Travel north on Highway 16 into Rapid City and turn right onto St. Joseph Street (one way). Continue through downtown and turn right onto campus after the main parking area. *Highway 44 (from the West) - Travel east on Highway 44 (Jackson Blvd) to Main Street. Turn right onto Main St for 1/4 mile until it divides and becomes St. Joseph Street (one way). Continue through downtown and turn right onto campus after the main parking area. *Highway 44 (from the East) - Travel west on Highway 44 (Omaha St) and turn left onto St. Patrick St. Take St. Patrick Street to St. Joseph Street and turn right. Go 1/2 mile and turn left at the entrance directly after the O’Harra Stadium. *Highway 79 (from the South) - Travel north on Highway 79, and take the downtown exit to St. Joseph Street. Go 1/2 mile and turn left at the entrance directly after the O’Harra Stadium.

LOCAL ACCOMMODATIONS

1. In off term times (summer, between terms) inquire with admissions about staying in one of the dorms. Most about 1 mile, all less than 2 miles: 2. Hotel Alex Johnson 3. Rushmore Plaza Holiday Inn 3. Howard Johnson Express Hotel 4. Several motels including the Town House Motel, from less than a mile to two miles away. Ample affordable lodging exists close to campus.
