Students fortunate enough to attend Southwestern Christian College receive a strong academic and spiritual education. As an institution sponsored by Churches of Christ, the college aims to shape students into moral leaders and produce graduates with Christian character. Academically, undergraduates here have the option to pursue a two-year associate degree in liberal arts or a four-year bachelor’s degree in Bible and Religious Education. Although SwCC only offers those two degrees, each is part of a well-rounded, holistic education that includes English, history, math, natural science, physical education, foreign language, speech, and computer science. Classes that satisfy those requirements range from audio engineering to principles of accounting.
SwCC gives every student the support they need to succeed. Indeed, through the Center for Student Success, everyone is eligible for free tutoring. Undergrads can take advantage of designated weekly sessions or schedule one-on-one help if needed. Additionally, the college provides personal and career counseling. It also hosts numerous workshops to help individuals hone their study skills, time management, test-taking strategies, and more.
