Prospective students considering St. John Fisher will be delighted to learn that undergraduates here are 鈥渁 very welcoming and friendly group, especially towards first-year's making the transition.鈥 Indeed, it鈥檚 the kind of place where students 鈥渁lways hold the door open for people behind them.鈥 You can even 鈥渆xpect strangers to smile at you.鈥 Of course, undergrads love that their classmates are 鈥渉ard-working鈥 and 鈥渃ontinuously pushing themselves in academics and athletics.鈥 They also readily acknowledge that their peers are 鈥減redominantly white,鈥 鈥渞ich and preppy鈥 and mostly 鈥渇rom upstate New York.鈥 Further, students note that there鈥檚 鈥渁 higher ratio of girls than boys, mostly due to the nursing program.鈥 Nevertheless, even if you don鈥檛 fit within those parameters, it鈥檚 still easy to find your place. As this student reveals, 鈥淚 always feel safe, accepted and loved here at Fisher, where I can express my own opinions and get amazing feedback and help where needed.鈥 Ultimately, undergrads stress that their peers really support one another and 鈥渁ll want each other to succeed.鈥 And they promise that 鈥渋f there is anything you need, someone will be there [for] you.鈥
