To say that Webber International University, a coeducational school due south of Orlando and east of Tampa, is 鈥渧ery business oriented鈥 is to put it mildly; 鈥渟trictly business鈥 is more like it. The school offers nine business-related majors, of which management, marketing, and sports management programs are most popular. WIU鈥檚 enrollment of about 600 students allows undergrads to enjoy 鈥渙ne-on-one attention due to small class sizes.鈥 The 鈥渒nowledgeable,鈥 鈥渄own-to-earth鈥 professors here are 鈥渧ery accessible in and out of school,鈥 鈥渃are about your success,鈥 and are 鈥済reat at what they do.鈥 Students also appreciate an administration that is 鈥渨ell organized, friendly, [and] willing to help when they can,鈥 right on up to the top spot; WIU鈥檚 president 鈥渒nows everyone and is seen often around campus and at campus events.鈥 Undergrads speak highly of the university鈥檚 Career Services Department, which provides students with 鈥渙n-campus recruiting opportunities for full-time employment, summer jobs, and internships.鈥 Career Services advisors also help to solidify student career objectives and alert students to job openings in their chosen field. WIU offers travel-abroad opportunities to students of all majors in an effort to expose undergrads to international business protocol.
