There is a 鈥渇amily-like atmosphere,鈥 and the school is 鈥渇ocused on ensuring a successful and positive student experience.鈥 One student gives the example of a dean who learned 鈥渆very single one of our names (over 100 of us) during Orientation and always addresses us by name to this day. It is so impressive.鈥 Professors here are 鈥渇antastically brilliant when it comes to the law, and they also care about each of us students as individuals.鈥 Whether it鈥檚 staying behind after class, promptly answering emails, or serving as a personal reference for a career opportunity, professors are 鈥渟o kind and available.鈥 The school is strong in constitutional law and is known for the Robertson Center for Constitutional Law. As one student remarks, 鈥淚 was amazed at the experience many of the professors and guest lecturers had. For example, in my constitutional law class, the professor was personally involved in litigating some of the cases.鈥 Overall, students are 鈥渂lown away by the quality of instruction.鈥

Regent has 鈥渁 great community鈥 where 鈥渇ellow students are supportive and encouraging.鈥 While there is some academic competition, students are quick to stress that it鈥檚 鈥渉ealthy competition.鈥 As one student elaborates, 鈥淭he competition is reserved for appropriate times and does not impede learning.鈥 Many students chose Regent because they appreciate its 鈥渃onservative professors and peers.鈥 While the school does 鈥渓ean conservative,鈥 students say their classmates 鈥渁re generally open to other ideas and having good conversations about political ideals.鈥 Extracurriculars here are popular, including moot court, trial advocacy, and the law review. In addition, each week the school hosts Law Chapel, 鈥渁 great time where much of the student body gathers to hear a speaker, often a lawyer, share a message. After the message and a time of worship, a student organization provides lunch and the students, staff, and faculty continue to interact.鈥
